The conference will explore how sexuality is shaped by interpersonal dynamics, relational contexts, broader systemic influences, and technology. Emphasizing the integration of cutting-edge research with clinical applications, we will highlight how political, cultural, legal, relational, and digital systems surrounding individuals can shape sexuality and inform both practice and research in sexual health.

Disability is not something rare that impacts a few individuals; disability is a normal part of the human experience, and able-bodiedness is only ever a temporary state in a person’s life. In the course, participants will look at the intersection of disability and sexuality, examine and critique our culture’s avoidance of disability, identify the role of shame inherent in ableism, consider overlaps between disability and ageism, and more.

This course is designed for both professional mental health workers AND individuals looking to establish safety and connection in their KINKY sex practices. We'll examine how incorporating the modern science of Interpersonal Neurobiology with KINK dynamics can allow for increased co-regulation and self-regulation skills so we can fully enjoy the ANXIETY and STRESS we intentionally invite into SEX.

Pleasure has often been denied, pathologized, or politicized in marginalized communities due to systemic oppression, intergenerational trauma, and cultural stigma. This workshop explores how reclaiming sexual and intimate pleasure can serve as a radical act of resistance, healing, and legacy-building. Clinicians will learn frameworks and strategies to support clients in centering joy, pleasure, and intimacy as tools for resilience and liberation.
